Sports massage is often used by athletes as part of their routine training programme as well as competition preparation and recovery. However, anyone can benefit from sports massage either as a general deep tissue massage or as a treatment for chronic muscle tension, pulled muscles, postural problems or repetitive strain injuries.

Benefits of sports massage include:

A sports massage treatment, especially if treating specific injuries, will often also include other techniques such as different types of deep stretches or range of movement tests and exercises. I also use soft tissue release, muscle energy technique and neuromuscular techniques.
